At Mountain Paws, we create products built to last, and we believe it’s vital to care for the environment for future generations of adventurers. We know there’s still more we can do, but sharing our progress is one small step on the journey to reducing our environmental impact.

Planet
We’re committed to doing better for the planet.
For many years, we’ve been working to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to create market-leading products.
We’ve invested in more efficient operations, including responsible energy sourcing, electric vehicles, and smarter shipping methods. At the same time, we’re focused on improving working conditions across our supply chain and eliminating the use of hazardous substances or unethically sourced materials.
We’ve reported our Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions for several years, with data independently assessed by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In 2024, we were awarded a B rating (compared to an industry average of C), and we’re actively working towards achieving an A grade in the near future.
Product
We know that dogs go through gear just as fast as their humans, which is why we design our products to be tough, long-lasting, and more responsible.
We assess each item for its environmental footprint and use responsible materials wherever possible. Many of our fabrics are Bluesign-approved or Oeko-Tex certified, and we incorporate recycled plastics and buckles across much of the range.
Currently, 37% of our products are made here in the UK, supporting local manufacturing and cutting down the distance products travel from production to distribution, helping lower our overall carbon footprint.
We’re also in the process of removing PFAs from all water-repellent treatments, with the goal of becoming fully PFA-free across all brands.
All Mountain Paws products are REACH compliant and free from hazardous chemicals.

People
We believe sustainability includes people, from the team behind our products to the wider outdoor and pet-loving communities we serve.
We’re proud to foster a positive, long-standing working environment, with an average team tenure of over 12 years.
All of our Tier 1 suppliers are independently audited (SMETA or amfori BSCI) to ensure that workers’ rights are respected and upheld across our supply chain. We also visit our key suppliers regularly and work closely with them to support ongoing improvements.
As a brand built around adventure and companionship, we’re proud to support causes that align with our values, from backing local animal charities to encouraging more people to get outside and explore with their four-legged friends.
Packaging
We’re cutting down on single-use plastics and switching to easily recyclable materials across our product range.
Most of our customer-facing packaging is now plastic-free. Where protective plastic bags are still required, we use recycled materials that are also fully recyclable - with a goal of using 100% recycled plastic across the board.
Much of our packaging uses FSC-certified card from responsibly managed forests, or fully recycled materials. This goal has already been met for Mountain Paws and LittleLife, with our other brands close behind.
All of our packaging is designed in-house with simplicity and recyclability in mind. Over the past three years, we’ve reduced average packaging size by 30% to help lower material use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Sustainability is a journey, and we’re committed to making better choices at every step.
We want to be a better business – one that does good for the planet and the people who share it.
Above all, we want to inspire you to keep exploring, learning and discovering the world around you.
Enjoy the journey.
